Describe yourself: Goodness, that's a difficult question for anyone I think. There's so much that goes into making each and every one of us unique, each with a story to tell that is likely longer than this format gives time or space for. I'm a person who loves to hear those stories told. I'm a person who loves to share in the journey on which everyone finds themselves traveling. I'm a person who finds himself following God's leading in his life, and is eternally excited to see where it leads.
The person(s) you love: My wife, my kids, my family, my friends, the broken and the lost, and everyone in between.
Family: My wife, Lindsay, my son Evan, and my daughter Maya. If the furry family members count as well, then include my dog Charlie-Po.
Morning ritual: God is teaching me, with great patience, to be a morning person, lol. The teenager in me still longs to sleep-in every day and stay up late. Kids and a life that deserves to be lived well certainly change that type of routine. Most mornings involved waking kids up, feeding them, and seeing them off to school before getting myself ready and off to work. A cup of coffee, a morning devotional, and some time in prayer is typical to kick off the day of work.
What I need to get through the day: The knowledge that each day is a gift worth opening, and that all of the contents are from a God that loves me, and loves you too!
Could live without: I long to see a world without war, famine, brokeness, and heartache. I've become intimately familiar with the reality that this is what God has in store for His creation at the end of time, and everyday I long for it more and more.
Perfect meal: I love food, a lot. Possibly too much. This is a hard question, lol. My answer would probably change each time this question is asked, but today I'll say beef wellington, with a side of seasoned roasted brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, yorkshire pudding, and gravy. You can't see it, but I'm drooling a little behind this computer screen.
Must reads: The Bible, anything from C.S. Lewis, I'm a huge fan of non-fiction and science-fiction so I have a long list of recommendations there for sure, and just anything that will help you to understand this world better and your place in it.
Favorite thing to do: Spending time with my family at the cottage or anywhere on vacation together.
Guilty pleasure: Watching episodes of Bachelor in Paradise and scrolling on tik-tok to kill time (please don't judge, lol).
How you connect with God: Through prayer, through the bible, through thinking of how He's worked in my life, and through hearing and seeing how He's at work in others lives.
Fondest memory: I can't pick just one. My head and my heart are full of fond memories from a life that has been blessed far more than deserved.
Passionate about: Sharing the journey of life with others, and sharing the struggles that come along with it.
